Metro Net is incorporated as a Michigan Non-Profit Public Library Consortium.
We are a genuinely "virtual" Consortium: our linkages and offerings are electronic. We have neither a headquarters building nor staff.
Seven suburban Detroit area public libraries make up Metro Net, at ten sites in Wayne and Oakland Counties: the Baldwin (Birmingham), Bloomfield Township, Canton, Farmington Community, Rochester Hills, Southfield, and West Bloomfield Township public libraries.
PCs are available for public internet access at each site.
The Metronet Libraries present Tough Times, Library Lifelines. A resource for the large number of out-of-work Southeast Michigan Residents.
